Hybrid DVRs & Installation
A Hybrid DVR is a Digital Video Recorder that accepts both analog and IP cameras in one device. The most common use for Hybrid DVRs are scenarios in which the user already has some analog CCTV Cameras in place and is looking to expand the current surveillance system with IP or Megapixel technology. As with traditional DVRs, Hybrids offer a variety of different technologies to consider: Storage Capacity, Display Resolutions, Record Resolution and Connection Type (Siamese vs. RJ45).
What is most important to understand is that all Hybrid DVRs are not created equally and some of the different options mentioned above can greatly impact the fidelity of your surveillance solution.
